Ullgraves Treasure Trove - End of the beginning

Character: A fine little summit on the fringes of the Lake District with extensive views of the Lake District mountains to the West and of Longsleddale to the North.

Approach: Park at 51660 98032 near the junction of the Potter Fell and Garnett Bridge roads. Follow the walled lane upwards and soon after the lane crosses Routen Beck, go towards the obvious summit of Ullgraves. A faint track goes to the right of the tarns. Follow it to a gate just before final rise to the summit. Take a rising rightward line to the cairn at the top.

Location: SD 51085 99565
From the summit cairn go South West to a few upstanding rocks before the slope descends to the gate.  The box is located in a crack in the rocks.
