Lingcove Beck Treasure Trove - Letting go

Character: Possibly the finest pool in the Lake District.  A jet of water powers over an overhang into a green, circular pool backed by columnar rocks.

Approach: Parking is available at the bottom of Hard Knott Pass going toward Eskdale. Go down to the telephone box and take the large track up Eskdale to the delightful packhorse bridge. Do not cross the bridge, but take the path on the right-hand side of the right-hand stream.

From the path take a little track down to the second pool. The box is hidden in a crack in rocks located several metres before (South) of the slab-like rock bounding the pool that lies beneath the upper pool.
