School Knott Tarn Treasure Trove - Still small voice of calm

Character: Mellow is the word that might describe this place - a bucolic oasis of calm, with the soft folds of Kentmere Pike beyond. The busyness of Windermere is only a mile away, but all the noise, tarmac and tourists might as well be hundreds of miles distant.

Approach: A very easy 1 mile walk from either the Heathwaite estate in Windermere or near Windermere Golf Club at SD 42271 96170. Be warned - the approach from the Heathwaite estate can be very confusing!

Location: OS Grid Reference SD42741 97187.
From the direction of School Knott, cross the outflow of the tarn but don't cross over the fence, but go right (West) beside the broken wall towards a tree. The box is buried beneath a pile of stones in the wall, two fence posts before the tree.
