Allen Knott Treasure Trove - Look beyond the view

Character: A small, unfrequented summit with a superb view of the whole of the Southern Lake District over Windermere Lake.


Approach: Park on the Moorhowe Road (B road from Ings to Troutbeck) and from NY41357 01318 take the path toward Far Orrest and go NE beside the wall to the summit.

From the true summit (Southern top) go a very short distance to just before the next little top. The box is hidden in a crack in the rocks shown in the picture below).
